The selection of specs on Envy X360 is outstanding as of other high-end HP laptops. Let’s see whether it can compete with the best Core i7 laptops.

Design & Build

Like other Envy series models, the HP Envy X360 has a metallic chassis. It weighs around 4.5lbs (2.1kg) and comes with a rotatable hinge design. This is a cheap 15-inch convertible laptop for big-screen lovers. However, you cannot hold it for more than a minute or two in one hand.

The model we evaluated for HP Envy X360 review came in silver colour. There are no extra flairs on the external lid. The natural aluminium hue extends to its keyboard desk that features a full-size keyboard. Above that are two speakers, placed closer to the display.

Display Quality

The display on Envy X360 is a touchscreen that features a 5.6-inch diagonal display. This is a WLED-backlit screen with a resolution of 1920 by 1080p. HP has equipped it with IPS panel which means you can have a clear view from all angles.

Talking about its touch response, we found it receptive to commands. It delivers a brightness of 400 nits and you will enjoy high-quality visuals even under low lights. The text on HP Envy X360 touchscreen appeared crispy and we found image colours vividly bright.

Keyboard & Touchpad Functionality

As mentioned, the keyboard on this 2-in-1 HP laptop is full-sized. The keys have decent space between them with a nice key travel and have backlighting. We found the keys firm during our HP Envy X360 review and we received batter feedback. You can easily type on this keyboard for hours without getting finger fatigue.

The touchpad covers an area around 12 x 6cm with a surprising 2:1 aspect ratio. This is a responsive, smooth trackpad which is Precision-enabled and responds quickly to commands.

Hardware Selection and Performance

During our HP Envy X360 review, we found it one of the best Core i7 laptops. This is a high-end convertible choice from HP laptops that features a 15-inch display. The processor on this 2-in-1 laptop is i7-1065G7 with a max frequency of 3.9GHz. Plus, it comes with the Iris Plus integrated graphics card. Additionally, it packs a sizeable 16GB RAM with SSD storage of 512GB.

Talking about its performance, the Envy X360 amazed us with its productivity. We opened more than 20 Chrome tabs and it did not flinch. We installed and ran the Office suite and did some basic level entry media editing using online tools. It handled the workload well without overheating or producing noisy sounds.

Battery Life Performance

The battery on this 15-inch convertible is 3-cell 51Wh. HP claims that it can keep the screen alive for more than 12 hours. We found the statement nearly true as we were able to extract around 11 hours of battery life. Simply put, the HP Envy X360 can take you through a long international flight and a busy meeting day.

Final Note

All in all, Envy X360 is an outstanding choice for business users and professionals. Its 2-in-1 convertible design let you work regardless of where you are while dominant hardware provides the needed power. This is one of the best Core i7 laptops from HP for office tasks.
